Joy has experience across a wide variety of work including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring, private equity and general corporate advisory practice.  Joy guides her clients through their complex domestic and cross-border transactions. She combines commercial acumen with transaction efficiency to ensure the best possible outcome for her clients. She also offers commercial advice to multinational companies and listed companies.  While Joy is based in London, she has also practiced in China as a corporate lawyer, advising clients in respect of corporate, commercial and general finance matters. Representative Experience
  • Advising a listed company on various transactions, including the acquisitions of companies in the UK, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
  • Advising a company on the purchase of 100% shares of an international company in the Netherlands including the purchase of entire shares in its subsidiaries in European countries and Israel.
  • Advising a company on the sale of its 100% shares including the sale of shares in its subsidiaries in China and South America.
  • Advising a German group on a contemplated M&A project, analysing the feasibility of the acquisition structure.
  • Advising a company in Hong Kong on its equity investment to a company based in the Cayman Islands.
  • Advising a PE fund on the equity investment in a photovoltaic technology company.
  • Advising a Chinese listed company on the initial public offering and listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange by conducting a spin-off and overseas listing of its wholly owned subsidiary in Israel.
 Joy obtained her master's degree with the University of Wisconsin Madison, LLB and master’s degree with East China University of Political Science and Law, China. She is a native speaker of Mandarin and fluent in English.
