Akram is a Partner at Chan Neill Solicitors, having joined the firm in 2025. He serves as Co-Head of the Litigation and International Arbitration Department. A solicitor-advocate with full rights of audience, Akram specialises in complex commercial litigation and international arbitration. He advises clients on a wide spectrum of commercial and contractual disputes, delivering clear, strategic guidance aimed at achieving optimal outcomes. Akram has significant experience handling matters with cross-border dimensions, having represented clients before the English courts and in arbitral proceedings under the rules of the ICC and LCIA. Renowned for his pragmatic and client-focused approach, Akram is regarded as a trusted advisor and the first point of contact for clients navigating legal and business challenges. Before qualifying as a solicitor, Akram conducted and published research in mathematics, with a focus on its applications to breast and ovarian cancer. He is fluent in both English and Arabic.Outside of his legal practice, Akram is an avid runner, having completed nearly 150 marathons. He also enjoys reading, attending the theatre, and exploring the Marvel universe through both films and comics.
